The Captain Encouragement program aims to teach children how to fight violence with non-violence!

A team of individuals named ‘Call to inspire’ created a program called ‘Captain Encouragement’ in April of 2015. The program is intended to teach morality to the children through an interactive program called the “Super Hero Training Program” which is designed for children from age 4 to 10 years. The program is also aimed to teach children how to fight violence with non-violence, be a compassionate member of the societyand place value in their goals and dreams.
The California-based team, Call to Inspire, has created this program for the kids to help them in identifying and expressing their emotions in a productive manner. The team has started a project on Indiegogo with a goal of raising $15,000 which will be utilized in funding the program.
The ultimate goal is to stop or—at least decrease—the amount of bullying among the children which has become a serious concern for the past few years; resulting in an increasing number of suicide rates among young adults and cases of abuse.‘Captain Encouragement’ is a character thought of and developed by the team which promotes the idea that it is “cool to be kind”.
"Captain Encouragement has had quite an impact on our community. He has been able to engage children, young and old, on positive thinking and confidence, making a difference in our everyday lives," said Lyn Wilson, VP and Branch Manager at Oak Valley Community Bank.

Since its inception in 2015, Call to Inspire has been preparing for a nationwide tour of The Captain Encouragement Youth Program for which they have started an Indiegogo campaign. The goal of the campaign is to raise $15,000 which will be utilized in building the final training course, travel expenses, marketing of the program and program space among other things.
The program will include interactive training for the kids with an obstacle course to teach methods of non-violence, guidance on identifying and expressing emotions in themselves and others. They have also created an art contest where all submissions will be featured on their website, Facebook page (www.facebook.com/CalltoInspire) and Instagram page (www.instagram.com/CalltoInspire). The top six will be featured in the next issue of the comic, and the winner will be converted into an actual comic book character. More information about the project can be found at:
