A JACK OF ALL TRADES AND A MASTER OF EVERYTHING, LEIGH SMITH

Leigh Smith, Actor, Presenter, Host, Model, General Manager, interesting person. How can you not be interesting when you do all those things. Being an actor alone is a very taxing way to make a living. You have to learn the craft, then you have to go out for auditions and then if you get a part in a film or in a stage play or commercial, you have to learn the lines, become your character and then depend on the other actors and the director to do their jobs competently so the project will come off as planned.

Leigh Smith knows what it takes to be an actor. He has gone through all the intensive training and he has ‘become’ many characters in front of the camera. He knows that it not only takes dedication, patience and persistence, but it also takes every ounce of drive you can muster up to get to where you want to be. Leigh has done a lot in a very short time. He is one of the few Aussies who can manage his time and career well enough to be able to go between the U.S. and Australia and still take refresher courses whilst having one foot in the comedic arena at the famous Groundlings school in Los Angeles where Kristin Wiig and Melissa McCarthy studied along with hundreds of other professional funny people.

Does that mean that Leigh Smith is a comedian? Well, let’s just say that he’s a very funny guy when he wants to be and he looks at himself as a well-rounded performer. That is, he can certainly be convincing in dramatic roles and he can make you cry with laughter when he wants to. He’s got the touch – the actors touch, which means he is super talented and multi-faceted in his skills. He’s also a host and presenter and a general manager of New Faces Talent Agency in Australia. So, next time you see Leigh Smith in a movie, commercial or stage play, remember that you are watching a performer who is at the top of his game and you are going to be in for a treat.
